that is my user name when i go to sign into ahoy!. it is my username for almost everything, actually. when i type notes at work and i put my initials after action items, at least 60% of the time i will write TM. today i only caught it because it was auto corrected into ™  .

by moving and starting a new job after we got married no one down here in the great state of arkansas knows me as TM. or terra maples. only butler. to my old friends i am often still some form of maples or some other ridiculous nickname. but not new friend. i am butler to them

so, should i but updating my user names to terralb? that looks like terrapound. i can’t do it. also, one of my nicknames is tmapes. tbuts doesn’t have quite the same ring to it.

i am fully aware that i am not alone in their feeling of newlastnameweirdness. and i love that i am married. i love the man i am married to and i am proud to have his last name. it is just going to take a bit of getting used to. i mean, i was terra maples for 28 years. and damn proud of it.
