goals: march recap, april explanation, may excuses

so in april i never set any goals. and i also never told you how i did in march, with the no coffee. i did well! i only really wanted it once and bryce told me no and instead i had one of the best chai lattes i have had. ever.

i tossed around some ideas and then decided that this month i had no goals. i wrote in a notebook a few weeks into the month. this is what i had to say:

be present and aware. take a month to see how far i have come and reassess the future. what does that mean?

  • you are what you eat
  • food can save or kill us
  • exercise is important and worth it
  • health is a priority
  • i have all ready flossed once
  • eager to learn
  • time to make the first steps permanent
  • be aware of sugar, grains and all things processed
  • holiday eating can be what you want, bring something smart to fill up on
  • pay attention to how food makes you feel.
  • things need homes
  • ready to get back to work on the house

so, this month i drank aloe vera juice for the first time, bryce and i got up before work and worked out, i continued to bring my lunch most of the time, i watched “hungry for change”. we juiced every morning for a week solid and have drank more juice than ever before. i cut artificial sweeteners out of my diet. i dyed my hair blonde out of a box, with the help and urging of my husband. i started playing volleyball on a team of coworkers, that a thoroughly enjoy. we cleaned out the office and found a $200+ gift certificate that had been “misplaced” for almost a year. i comfortable wear the first size 6 jeans that i have worn in a while. i didn’t finish a single book. i have reached the goal weight that i sat for the first of may.  i took big steps forward in creating. i had important conversations at work. i was called fearless again, and it felt even better than the first time.

i have been doing my best to be positive and still think i am in a much better place than before. i have also blogged at least one a week. so, YEAH!

it was a good month. i will continue to work to make the healthy habits stick.

i am not sure i am putting goals out there to the universe for may. i certainly have some goals set internally and think that, at least at this point, if serves them best to say on my mind and off of the interwebs. good vibes and positive thoughts are always welcome and encouraged.

and birthday wishes. i will be 30 on may 28!
