after running lots of errands satuday, i declared sunday an “i am not getting out of my pjs or leaving my house” day. i had planned on heading down to the craft room, but it was just too nice out. so i set up shop at the kitchen table. this week i planned to tackle something i had dreamed up in my sketch book.
first things first, i picked out my materials. i started out thinking i would use 3 fabrics, but only ended up using two. next, i picked what size i wanted the piece to be and cut the material. then i pinned it together and hand stitched the two pieces together. once that was done, i ironed the piece (a lesson learned in the past).
next, i took an iron on transfer and ironed it onto the piece.
then i stenciled the other shapes i wanted.
after that i got my embroidery on. i didn’t have a hoop, and i should have waited to start until i got one, but ahoy! waits for no one, so on with the show!
for the power lines i just did one single long stitch.
tadaaaaaaa. it isn’t finished yet, but i couldn’t let you down again. sorry to leave you hanging last week. next time i will know that vacation means vacation from ahoy, and that is a-okay.
