burnt roll

if you have ever been around me in a swimsuit i have probably explained this to you, so bear with me…

i have three fat rolls.at my current state i am not rocking all three as prominently as i have in the past, but their memory lives on. the rolls work like this:

  • roll senior- he is the main roll. on my gut. he causes muffin tops and makes me fear sporting a butt in the front. he is my most common companion, i just can’t ever seem to get him to leave. sometimes, when i am at my fittest
  • roll junior- r.j. rocks out on top of roll senior, above my belly button. he changes in size and temperament, but always shows up when i sit down. he and roll senior work together to make up my gut.
  • roll, the third- this guy is the real asshole. he shows up to let me know that i really need to get to work. he is smushed between roll junior and the ladies. he, like r.j., will always show up when i sit down (sounds like someone needs to work on her posture).

currently only roll senior makes himself known from the back. when r.j. and the third start making a back appearance i head for gym and take a serious look at my fruit and vegetable intake. however, this weekend while sitting in the sun for a bit too long, it became obvious that i had burnt roll senior. poor guy. i would show you a picture, but i don’t think you want to see it.

my goal from the end of the summer is to get where i can’t burn one specific roll 🙂

with that being said, i should mention that eating went well last week. on friday night b made fried cauliflower and sautéed veggies with a mediterranean flair. i will be sharing that recipe with you for sure. i also make homemade pizzas, and will be sharing that with you as well. what else have i been eating? stonyfield oikos greek yogurt with blueberries, gala apples, bananas, cherries, pretzel chips and hummus. my new favorite quick lunch is to precook bacon, make a salad with spinach, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, red onion and then chop up one piece of bacon and sprinkle it on.  top with oil and vinnegar and enjoy. pretty freaking tasty.

i think i should also note, that while i am trying to lose some weight i am no trying to lose too much weight before the wedding. i fit into the dress when i bought it and that is the size i was when i got here. i just want the zipper to go up with a little less tugging.

today i plan on getting some food prepped, doing the laundry, unpacking some boxes and my first p90x workout. i heard b doing his this morning. i am scared.
