yesterday i went with dione, the nephews and the wee one to trick-or-treat on the square in rogers. there were TONS of people and i think the boys had a good time. i saw some really cute kids, some really awesome costumes and some very unfortunate ones. di and i tried to develop a scheme to get mason to give us his ho-ho’s, but we never went thought with it. from there we went to my sister-in-law’s for dinner (and rum cake and apple pie) and the boys went out to do some more trick-or-treating (they will have enough candy to get them to christmas FOR SURE). b and i stayed back to hand out candy. i love little mini trick-or-treators. they are so cute and so excited. my favorite was a little guy in a muscle man spiderman costume. he was so excited. and so polite. as he left i wished him a happy halloween. and about halfway down the walk, he turned around, returned the well wishes and busted out a rock-kick. awesome!
besides that little bit of fun, i have been devouring the hunger games trilogy (on the final book now). b and i started the fence this weekend and will finish it up tonight. i am not sure what the pups are going to think of it, but they have been contained by a fence since they have been allowed to run free and we didn’t have any issues. i am hoping that stays the same. they maybe mad about their containment for a bit, but once we get the dog door in i think they will be happy to have that freedom back. no one has had an accident in quite some time, but it will be nice for them to go out when they want and i am sure luna will enjoy being able to just lay in the yard all the time. little weirdo. i am also excited about them not coming back covered in mud, or soaking wet, or covered in stick-tights or reeking of death. we can also have the fenced in area sprayed for ticks and then we won’t have to pick tons of them off of luna every time she comes back. and last but certainly not least, i will no longer have to worry about them getting shot, or run over, or whatever.
tomorrow i leave to go back to kc for a loooooong (but probably not long enough to see everyone) weekend. i don’t have every last minute planned out, but pretty dang close. definitely looking forward to triple b’s and double d’s (aka book club) on saturday night, as i will need a new book soon and it is nice to have a good number of my favorite betches in the same place at the same time. other than that, lots of dinners, lots of hanging out, hopefully some shopping, checking out some friend’s new homes and getting my hairs did! i am sure it will all come and go too quickly. and i will leave exhausted, but hopefully kc-fulfilled and definitely ready to get home to the man and the mutts. then it will be a short count down to one of my favorite days of the year….FRIENDSTHANKSGIVING!!!!
