blahblah-clothes-blahblah-interview-blahblahblah

not a lot is going on today. it started out sunny and nice this morning, but now the cold is creeping through the windows and outside it overcast. but the trees are amazing. looks like fall. feels like fall. so glad to get to experience fall.

i had a job interview yesterday and it went really well. i am (anxiously) waiting to hear back from them on the second interview, which should be some time this week. i got the email for the first interview monday night on my way to the gym. with nothing to wear, i ditched out of zumba and ran to banana to grab something to wear for the 11:00am meeting the next day. with kel’s moral support and picture approval, i went with a blue/gray silk blouse, tucked into a high-waisted pencil skirt. here is what i sent kel, with the other color option on the shirt. (please remember that i was on my way to the gym…)

after that i went home and read everything i could on the company, their clients, their awards and went to bed.

yesterday was b’s birthday! we got up and i gave him his giftsthe lost notebooks of hank williams CD, a year subscription to dwell magazine and a fridge monkey to make beer storage less bulky. after that he went to breakfast with his brother and i got ready for the big interview. we drove into town together and once i was done we met up for coffee, went to lunch with his sister-in-law and then did some shopping.

besides hitting up alter’d state, i knew i needed to get another interview outfit, so we first headed to GAP, hoping to save a little money, but they didn’t have what i needed. they did, however, have a super cute light pink, 3/4 sleeve sweater on sale that i scooped up.

from there we went to banana republic, where i teetered back and forth between another skirt and top combo, or this dress, which was the runner up from monday night. i went with the dress.

after that we scooped up dance central 2 (that’s right people. TWO PLAYER ACTION) and headed back to the sticks.

we relaxed for a while and then headed to eureka springs to try out sparky’s roadhouse cafe for dinner. ryan and di tried it out a while back and have been raving about it for months. so we finally went. and it was awesome. we had chips and guac (good!) and for dinner bryce had spicy pork enchiladas and i had the spinach ones. they were both good, but the pork was better. their hand cut fries are awesome. and the cuban black beans were great too…so was b’s bloody mary. from there it was back home for some living room dancing and i finished the help (oh lawdy! sooo good). all in all yesterday was a busy and good day. and i think b enjoyed his birthday.

so that brings us back to today…i got up. walked the dogs (gunfire=walk the dogs). made some coffee. started some laundry. stained fabric for our mummy costumes (didn’t QUITE turn out how i expected, but i really don’t care). and geeked out online. sarah c. sent me a link to a blog from a vintage shop owner in NW arkansas and i have been through most of it and all ready am trying to figure out when someone will be down here to go with me. to be honest, i suck at thirfting, but love the look of it. so something has got to give.

well, enough rambling for one day. i am off to eat lunch…and wait for the email ding. i hope you are well!
