we have only camped once this year and it really doesn’t count because it was in b’s bro’s back yard…but we did get to test out the new tent and it is pretty sweet.
today we are packing up the car and the mutts and headed to bennett springs state park in lebanon, mo. b and i have never been, but he is looking forward to fishing the stocked stream and i am looking forward to hiking with the mutts. the icing on this birthday camping trip? FRIENDS!!!! brad, kellly, amanda, will and ashley will be joining us. i can’t wait to see them!
so, i better get to packing/wrangling all the gear up. i am sure i will have some pics to post of the fall foliage and such. until then….i hope you have a nice weekend!

Terra I went once a couple of years ago and had a great time, but let me leave a couple of suggestions. Everyone smokes stogies and wears weighters…….I didn’t, but still caught my tiny little trout when the whistle blew! SAVE YOUR MONEY !!!……..Secondly, don’t bother catching the giant trout under the bridges…….they are smarter than all of you combined ! And thirdly, take aluminum foil……..the fish are too small for a black iron skillet……they’ll look like minnows when you’re done frying them!!!
