mo and i ended up leaving kc monday night and rolled into the driveway around midnight.i think we were up until about 2:30. so, yesterday we let ourselves sleep. once we got up we made coffee, ate some breakfast and headed into town.
first on the list, flea markets. i need to make some signage for the wedding and was on the hunt for old windows, but when i hit a 50% off frames sale at one thrift store we changed our game plan. i got 12 frames, from 4×6 to 11×17 for $20. yup. mo scored some sweet pottery and we were off. from there mo and i went to check out a restaurant that i hadn’t been to off the rogers square called rolando’s and it was wonderful. we had a late afternoon margarita and a late lunch. i will be going back there for sure.
next we walked around the square in rogers and went to the antique stores. we found iron on decals from the 40’s or 50’s. these beautiful floral designs. i swear that a few of the table cloths we are using in the wedding have the same design. i can’t wait to use them.
then we went to pick up some paint. then to hobby lobby. then to sam’s. then home.
we were exhausted. hence the lack of posting yesterday.
but you might get two today….today is the day of the craft. so we will be spray painting frames, tying the sheet streamers together, finishing some stamping, making mats for the frames and god only knows what else. so, if i were you i would be expecting some pictures today or tomorrow.
ALSO! at some point i will have to share with you some of the wonderful and thoughtful gifts we received last week. you people are just too thoughtful.
okay. time to wake up momilla and get this party started.
