we have 25 days until the wedding, so i think it is fair to say that we are in the home stretch. how am i feeling? pretty okay. little things keep coming to mind that we need to take care of, like the marriage license. all the sheets are ripped (except four), thanks to all my house guests and the ladies for helping tackling this, the biggest project of the wedding.my aunt has dropped off the gobs and gobs of ribbon that my cousin maggie so generously got for us. b and i got our rings ordered. we both chose vendors from etsy and i will give you all that info when it is all said and done.
b is on his way to kansas city as i type.
we both of hair appointments in the next few days.we are meeting with our photographer. we still need to find b clothing for this shin-dig. i get to pick up my dress. and i need to make my wildest dreams some true at sephora.
but the best part of this week, and the main reason we are in town, will be our shower on wednesday.
i know lots of hands have touched it, and i know that all of my friends are incredibly busy people, so thanks to you all in advance for hosting a special night for us. it really means a lot.
in other news, the weather here in kc is quite the fall preview. i was pretty excited to ask bryce to bring up my boots. i had to borrow a hoodie for the week. so far i have had a very relaxing nice trip. saturday night the girls came over to christina’s to rip sheets, drink wine and engage in inappropriate conversation topics, as per usual. sunday i went to lunch with kelly and spend the afternoon at the pool will her, jill and two lovelie ladies, that i hadn’t seen in way too long. after the pool we gorged ourselves at ponaks and i retired to mo’s house. there i showed her a new photo app and we proceeded to geek out for hours. yesterday it was take your t to work day and i go to enjoy the rain pouring down on the city from the lovely and window filled river market event place. after work we made a quick stop at donna’s dress shop, where i scored a great dress for my bachelorette party this weekend and then mo brought me back to home base, at nick & christina’s.
busy! busy!
and in all this insanity i have decided two things:
1. labor day weekend will be our first company-less weekend since the move. our sanity will thank us. and our friends probably don’t want to deal with us before then anyway.
2. i am going to take september off from the blog. all thought i am not very stressed, i don’t need anything else on the to-do list for the week before the weeding. and the week after my girl liz and adam, who are coming in from brooklyn, are staying for what liz has labeled “the buddymoon”. i will also need to be spending time seeking employment, finishing round one of house stuff, figuring out the point of my existence without a wedding to plan and hopefully getting some artsh*ts done, in hopes of a show in early 2012. plus, by the time i come back in october i will have wedding pics and can give you all the nitty gritty details that i have spared from the blog in hopes of the wedding and decor being a bit of a surprise to those attending.
