crafty!

so, while dusty and shaun were here we not only got the invites addressed, BUT checked a craft project off the list. i had originally bought some stamps for the invites, but didn’t end up using them for that project, so i was excited to finally get to use them!

i purchased paints and cheap brushes and two different sizes of tags. then i locked the girls in the basement and we got to work! they said they felt like they were in art class. i was cool with that.

first we practiced to see what worked best and what color combos we liked. we found that different sponges and brushes offered different effects, but that most things worked out better with a paper towel under the paper we were printing on.

once we had some time to practice we got to work. in most cases we stamped the ampersand first and then the initials on top, but as we got more comfortable we played around a little.

these will be used in the centerpieces. i reallllly love them.
